Olabisi Joseph Joins ISF Management Committee

Olabisi Joseph, the President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), has been elected to the Management Committee of the International School Sports Federation (ISF). This nomination was announced during the ISF's Annual General Meeting on July 21, where Joseph, already recognized as the first female African and the first woman globally to serve on the ISF Executive Committee as Continental President of Africa, was selected alongside Elena Mickovska from North Macedonia.

The newly formed Management Committee, which will govern from 2026 to 2030, includes ISF President Željko Tanasković, Vice-Presidents Antônio Hora Filho, Youssef Belqasmi, Lianshuai Teng, and Secretary General Hasnae El Ayoubi. The ISF described this formation as a key milestone for establishing governance frameworks for the new term.

The inaugural meeting was attended by Dejan Bojović, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee of Serbia, who reaffirmed Serbia’s support for the ISF's mission to advance school sports globally. Joseph's nomination underscores Nigeria's growing influence in international sports governance.
