Olabisi Joseph Elected ISF Africa President in Serbia

Olabisi Joseph, the President of the Nigeria School Sport Federation (NSSF), was elected as the Continental President for Africa of the International School Sport Federation during the 2026 ISF General Assembly held in Belgrade, Serbia. The assembly saw participation from 82 countries, with 79 votes cast in the election.

Joseph's election is historic as she becomes the first African woman and the first woman in ISF history to be elected to this continental leadership role. The NSSF, through its Secretary-General Ijeoma Olopade, congratulated Joseph on her achievement and expressed full support for her tenure, emphasizing the importance of advancing school sports for African children.

Joseph previously made history in 2019 by becoming the first female president of the NSSF after being elected unopposed at the federation's elective congress in Lagos. She was re-elected for a second term during the NSSF Annual General Meeting in Abuja in 2024.
