Nigeria Advances Foreign Policy in Sierra Leone Mission

Rt Hon Yusuf Buba Yakub, the Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), successfully led a high-level Nigerian delegation on a strategic monitoring and evaluation mission to the Republic of Sierra Leone. This mission is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen South-South cooperation, aligning with Nigeria's foreign policy objectives under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

The delegation included Ambassador Bello Jay and senior NTAC officials, who assessed the impact of NTAC's volunteer services in Sierra Leone and explored new opportunities for collaboration in critical sectors for national development. During the visit, Yakub met with Dr.

Haja Ramatulai Wuri, Minister of Technical and Higher Education, and discussed enhancing educational cooperation and capacity-building initiatives. The delegation also engaged with the Ministry of Health, where they met with Deputy Minister Prof.

Charl Seuss to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the health sector. The mission underscored Nigeria's commitment to supporting educational advancement and healthcare delivery in Sierra Leone.
