NTAC Welcomes 11 Volunteers Back from Uganda

On May 25, 2026, the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) formally received eleven returning volunteers from Uganda following the successful completion of their two-year technical assistance assignments at various institutions across the country. The reception took place at the NTAC complex conference room in Abuja and was presided over by Rt.

Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of NTAC.

During the event, Yakub expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for enabling NTAC to function optimally and congratulated the volunteers for their dedication and professional excellence, which earned them commendations from the Ugandan government. Prof.

Yusuf Ali Zoaka, the team lead for the returning volunteers, acknowledged the support from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and highlighted the significant achievements made during their assignments, particularly in academic and professional capacity building. The Ugandan institutions have expressed interest in continuing collaboration with Nigerian scholars in the future.
