Nigeria Ranked Among Top Three Global Nursing Suppliers

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has rated Nigeria among the three highest suppliers of nursing personnel globally, alongside India and the Philippines. This announcement was made by Dr.

Ndagi Alhassan, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NMCN, during the inaugural graduation ceremony of the Millennium College of Nursing Sciences, managed by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, in Awka. Dr.

Alhassan praised the quality of health education in Nigeria, particularly in Anambra State, and acknowledged the significant contributions of Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), who was honored as 'Champion of Health Education in Nigeria.' Obi highlighted the correlation between prioritizing education and health and national development.

He also mentioned his role in providing seed money for the college's establishment and ongoing support for health and education sectors. A total of 116 graduates were recognized during the ceremony.
