Nwabali Denies NPFL Return Amid Transfer Speculation

Stanlei Nwabali, a 29-year-old goalkeeper, has recently departed from Chippa United and is currently without a club. He addressed rumors regarding a potential return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), particularly amidst interest from former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peterside Idah.

Nwabali clarified that his focus is on opportunities outside West Africa, expressing a preference for leagues in Europe or South Africa, rather than returning to the NPFL. He noted that the financial structure and competitive nature of leagues abroad are more appealing.

Despite the speculation surrounding his future, Nwabali stated that there are no concrete negotiations at this time, and he remains unfazed by the current situation. He reiterated that he is open to global opportunities and will make a decision when the right offer comes along.

Nwabali's previous experience includes playing for teams in the NPFL, such as Wikki Tourists, Enyimba, Lobi Stars, and Katsina United, and he is linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
