Nwabali Shines in PSL Return with Clean Sheet

Nwabali, a 30-year-old goalkeeper, returned to the Chili Boys last month after leaving for unknown reasons in February. In his first league match of the 2026/27 season, he faced Magesi FC in November last year and kept a clean sheet.

Nwabali was the highest-rated player on the pitch, making six saves against Golden Arrows, who managed only two shots on target. He faced a 1.75xGOT and made three saves in each half, with a crucial point-blank save in added time against Thokozani Khumalo.

This match marked the second time Nwabali kept a clean sheet on the opening day of the PSL season since joining in 2023. He has accumulated 23 clean sheets in 70 PSL matches and is one clean sheet short of matching his total from the previous season.
