Northwest University Sokoto Proposes Partnership with UK Schools

Northwest University Sokoto has proposed a strategic academic partnership with London Business School and the University of East London, aiming to enhance academic standards and create sponsorship opportunities for outstanding students. The proposal, announced by the Director of Communication and Public Affairs, Abdallah El Kureb, on Tuesday, includes a collaborative document dated May 22, 2026, signed by the Director of Studies at the London Business School, Dr.

Julius Ayodel. The partnership seeks to align Northwest University's academic offerings with UK qualification standards, equipping students with globally competitive skills.

Proposed undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration, Management, Health and Social Care Management, Law, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a total of 360 credits. The collaboration is expected to promote curriculum innovation, research partnerships, and student exchange programs, as well as faculty development and professional training opportunities.

Prof. Mukhtar Umar Bunza, Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto, welcomed the proposal as a significant step towards advancing the university's vision for global competitive education.
