Sokoto State University Partners with Turkish Universities

Sokoto State University (SSU) has announced a strategic academic partnership with Turkish universities to drive research collaboration and enhance transnational education programs. This partnership was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Moham Bello Yerima, during a press briefing in Sokoto.

The collaboration will provide SSU students and lecturers access to international research platforms and opportunities for joint degree programs and faculty exchanges. Prof. Yerima noted that this development is a testament to SSU's rapid growth since its establishment 12 years ago, positioning it among Nigeria's emerging world-class universities.

He highlighted the university's significant breakthroughs in research and staff development, which have attracted national and international recognition. The partnership will allow SSU students to earn degrees jointly certified by the Turkish institutions, thereby enhancing their global competitiveness in the labor market.

Dr. Ahm Aliyu, the Governor of Sokoto State, expressed support for the university's developmental strides and acknowledged the foresight of the institution's founders.
