Sokoto State University Partners with Turkish University

Sokoto State University (SSU) has announced a partnership with a Turkish university to advance research and educational opportunities. Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Bello Yerima disclosed this during a press briefing ahead of the university's 8th combined convocation ceremony.

The collaboration will provide SSU students access to an international research platform, joint degree programs, and faculty exchange opportunities. Professor Yerima noted that this partnership is a testament to the rapid growth of SSU, which has positioned itself among Nigeria's emerging world-class universities.

He emphasized that the university's research output and staff training programs continue to attract national and international recognition. The partnership will allow SSU students to earn degrees jointly certified by the Turkish institution, enhancing their competitiveness in the global labor market.

Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, the Governor of Sokoto State, expressed support for the university's development strides, acknowledging the foresight of the institution's founder, the former governor of Sokoto State, in establishing the university.
