NWU Partners with UK Schools to Enhance Education Standards

Northwest University Sokoto (NWU) is strengthening its academic partnership with London Business School and the University of East London. The proposal, announced by the Director of Communication and Public Affairs at NWU, Abdallah El Kureb, on Tuesday, outlines a strategic collaboration aimed at delivering internationally recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The partnership, documented on May 22, 2026, and signed by the Director of Studies at the Global North London Business School, Dr. Julius Ayodel, seeks to align NWU's academic offerings with UK qualification standards, equipping students with globally competitive skills and credentials. Proposed undergraduate programs include degrees in Business Administration, Health and Social Care Management, Law, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a focus on innovative curriculum and research.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mukhtar Umar Bunza welcomed the collaboration as a significant step towards advancing NWU's vision for global competitive education, which he believes will open new opportunities for students and staff while enhancing the university's academic profile.
