Obafemi Martins to Host Youth Tournament for Tinubu

Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins announced plans to organize a youth football tournament called the "Renewed Hope youth tournament" to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign. During an interview with TVC on Thursday, Martins stated that the tournament would take place in November and would involve teams from various geopolitical zones, with additional teams included.

He emphasized that the initiative aims to create opportunities for young Nigerians and expressed his happiness in supporting the president due to his hard work. Martins confirmed that he would personally finance the tournament.

The term "Renewed Hope" was initially the campaign slogan for Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima during the 2023 presidential election and has since been adopted by Tinubu's administration for various government programs and initiatives.
