Lagos Assembly Mourns Loss of Two Dedicated Workers

On Thursday, the Lagos State House of Assembly paid tribute to two deceased staff members, Michael Adelek and Esther Adetimehin. Speaker Mudashiru Obasa expressed the assembly's grief during a plenary session, describing both individuals as dedicated and committed members of the staff.

Michael Adelek, who served as the auditor and chairman of the Lagos State Joint Negotiation Council, passed away while attending the 114th session of the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, after a brief illness. Esther Adetimehin, a staff member in the administration of human resources, had recently given birth to twins before her untimely death.

Obasa praised both for their contributions to the assembly and urged comfort for their families. The assembly also directed the clerk to convey formal condolences to the bereaved families, reaffirming legislative support during this mourning period.
