Chief Godwin Obla, SAN, has funded a full scholarship worth £33,000 and ₦25 million for Ochanya's postgraduate law studies at Queen Mary University of London.

Chief Godwin Obla, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has made good on a commitment he made less than a year ago by underwriting the complete cost of advanced legal studies for Ochanya, who became the first female from the Idoma ethnic group to earn a first-class degree from Nigeria's Law School. The sponsorship package, delivered through the Godwin Obla Foundation, covers both her tuition expenses and living costs during her time abroad.

Ochanya has received admission to Queen Mary University of London to pursue a Master of Laws degree with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and the Law. The foundation has transferred £33,000 directly to the institution to settle her tuition obligation.

Additionally, ₦25 million has been deposited into Ochanya's personal account to support her expenses throughout her studies in the United Kingdom. The pledge was initially announced in Otukpo, the administrative headquarters of Benue State's Idoma-speaking region.

Obla's decision to sponsor the first female Idoma law graduate with first-class honours reflects a targeted approach to supporting educational advancement within specific communities. The foundation's execution of the commitment within approximately twelve months demonstrates follow-through on the announced intention.

Ochanya's achievement as the first Idoma woman to graduate with first-class honours from the Nigerian Law School precedes her acceptance to a prestigious British university for postgraduate work. The funding structure provided by the Obla Foundation encompasses both direct payment to the educational institution and personal stipend support, a comprehensive model designed to remove financial barriers to her studies.
