Oborevwori Inaugurates Duplexes and Vehicles for Secretaries

On Thursday, Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori inaugurated 12 units of four-bedroom duplexes for permanent secretaries in Asaba, alongside newly constructed internal roads and drainage facilities. The governor presented 12 brand-new official vehicles to the Permanent Secretaries, emphasizing the importance of supporting public servants to enhance their efficiency.

Since taking office on May 29, 2023, Oborevwori has prioritized the welfare of public servants, having previously constructed eight additional duplexes at the Commissioners’ Quarters. He noted that the new accommodations would allow more Permanent Secretaries to reside in suitable official residences.

The governor highlighted the critical role of Permanent Secretaries in government operations and the necessity of providing them with an enabling environment. The completed internal roads and drainage systems address longstanding erosion and flooding issues, transforming the area into a more habitable environment.

The duplexes were awarded for construction in October 2025, reflecting the administration's commitment to improving public sector infrastructure.
