Ododo Calls for Diaspora Support for Economic Reforms

On Thursday, Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State addressed Kogites and Nigerians in London, calling for their support for President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms. He urged the diaspora to project a positive image of Nigeria and invest in Kogi State, emphasizing that the nation's future relies on collective efforts from citizens both at home and abroad.

Ododo described the engagement as a platform to strengthen collaboration for sustainable development. He acknowledged the unity fostered in Kogi State over the past decade, which has led to significant progress by transcending ethnic and religious divisions.

The governor praised President Tinubu for making tough decisions, such as removing the fuel subsidy and unifying the foreign exchange market, which have improved state financial capacities. He also mentioned federal initiatives like the Kogi International Airport, Kogi Free Trade Zone, and efforts to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Company as transformative for the state.
