Kogi Governor Ododo Inaugurates APC Peace Committee

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State inaugurated the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee in Lokoja, charging its 17 members, led by former Governor Capt. Idris Ichala Wada, to reconcile aggrieved party members and restore unity within the party as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. Ododo emphasized the importance of dialogue and reconciliation, stating that the strength of the APC in Kogi depends on its ability to accommodate diverse interests.

He recalled his outreach to political leaders across various affiliations after becoming the APC candidate in the 2023 governorship election. The governor urged committee members to engage with aggrieved leaders, listen to their concerns, and promote forgiveness for the greater interest of the party and the state.

He expressed confidence in the APC's potential for a stronger performance in the upcoming elections, citing support from President Bola Tinubu's administration, which has facilitated significant projects in Kogi State.
