Fulham Appoints Álvaro Arbeloa as New Head Coach

Fulham FC officially announced the appointment of Álvaro Arbeloa as their new head coach, signing a three-year contract ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season. Arbeloa succeeds Marco Silva, whose contract expired.

The former Spain international and Real Madrid player expressed his delight at taking charge of Fulham, describing the opportunity as a privilege. He thanked Fulham owner Shahid Khan and vice chairman Toni Khan for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the club.

Arbeloa is eager to meet the players and begin pre-season preparations, looking forward to the supportive atmosphere at Craven Cottage. His coaching career follows a successful playing stint, including time at Real Madrid, Liverpool, and West Ham United.

He previously left Real Madrid earlier in the year after a spell as a coach, succeeding Xabi Alonso in January. Arbeloa's immediate task will involve working with key players, including Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, as they prepare for the upcoming season.
