Ofili Storms to Photo finish in Istvan Gyulai Meeting in Budapest

Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili emerged victorious in a photo finish at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Meeting in Budapest. Ofili narrowly beat Jamaican Ashanti Moore by one thousandth of a second in the women's 200m event.

Despite racing under the Nigerian flag, Ofili's nationality remains uncertain due to a potential switch to Turkey. Nigerian shot putter Chukwuebuka Enekwechi also shone at the event, securing a bronze medal.

In the men's events, Zambian Muzala Samukonga and Trinidad and Tobago's Jeremy Richard claimed silver and bronze in the 400m race, while Olympic silver medallist Kishane Thompson triumphed in the men's 100m. The women's 100m saw a tie for second place between Saminu Akani and Simbine, with Ta Lou Smith taking the top spot.
