Ogun 2027: LP and ADP Compete for Segun Showunmi's Governorship Candidacy

In Ogun State, both the Labour Party (LP) and the Action Democratic Party (ADP) are vying for Segun Showunmi to run for governor in 2027. ADP's state chairperson, Yey Olufunk Olarenwaju, visited Showunmi to extend the offer, citing his political credibility and grassroots mobilization skills.

Showunmi, a former governorship aspirant of the People Democratic Party (PDP), is considering the ADP's invitation after consulting widely. The parties believe Showunmi is a stable and worthy candidate for the governorship seat in Ogun State.
