Yayi Supports 5,312 Ogun Students with Scholarships

On Sunday, Senator Solomon Adeola, the Senator representing Ogun West and the 2027 All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, presented scholarships and bursaries to 5,312 students from tertiary institutions in Ogun State during an event in Abeokuta. He praised President Bola Tinubu for initiating the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which has improved access to tertiary education across the country.

Adeola emphasized the importance of education for human capital development and national progress, stating that the initiative aims to prevent brilliant students from dropping out due to financial difficulties. The latest edition of the scholarship program marks a significant increase in beneficiaries, totaling over 10,000 students supported within three years.

Of the 5,312 beneficiaries, 1,735 received scholarships of N200,000 for university students and N150,000 for polytechnic and college students, while 3,577 received bursaries of N100,000 each. Adeola urged recipients to use the funds strictly for educational purposes.
