Ogun Youths Reject Cultism and Cybercrime in Pledge

Hundreds of teenagers and young adults in Ogun State pledged to reject cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime, and related social vices during a youth sensitisation programme organized by the Ogun State Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV). The event took place during the Royal Ambassador Ogun Baptist Conference, Ephphatha 2026.

A press release from the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, ASP Oluborode Opeyemi, detailed that the initiative aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and is under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni. The programme empowered participants with critical knowledge to resist negative social pressures, culminating in a collective pledge to uphold high moral standards and serve as anti-vice ambassadors.

The sensitisation sessions emphasized the severe dangers of involvement in cultism and related activities, promoting values of self-discipline and personal accountability.
