Okpebholo Commits to Edo Road Project Funding Before Christmas

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo pledged ongoing funding and support for contractors managing road projects in the state, aiming for significant progress before Christmas. This assurance was made following his inspection of the Arue-Uromi-Agbor road projects in the Esan North-East Local Government Area.

Okpebholo, through his Chief Press Secretary Patrick Ebojele, stated that despite challenges from the rainy season, the projects are advancing. He noted that current construction activities are limited, with drainage works being the primary focus.

The governor committed to releasing funds to contractors as they become available, emphasizing the administration's dedication to improving road infrastructure for residents and motorists, especially during the Christmas period. Michel Aoy, the Area Manager of Setraco Nigeria Ltd., mentioned that the Irrua-Uromi bypass road will feature a nine-meter width on each side, a concrete barrier, and street lighting, while also acknowledging challenges in securing the right of way for the project.
