Osunbor Calls Okpebholo's 3.5m Votes Claim a Hoax

Professor Oserhimen Osunbor, a former governor of Edo State, has dismissed Governor Okpebholo's assertion that he can deliver 3.5 million votes for Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, calling it a "hoax." Osunbor made these remarks during an African Democratic Congress (ADC) meeting in Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area. He argued that the claim is misleading and unrealistic, as it exceeds the total number of registered voters in Edo State.

Osunbor criticized the political alignment of the governor with the All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting that such moves are driven by self-preservation rather than public interest. He warned that the promise lacks credibility and that the Nigerian populace is gravitating towards alternative political platforms ahead of the next elections.

Additionally, Mr. Ken Imansuagbon, a former governorship aspirant, indicated that the political tide is turning against the APC in Edo State, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration.
