Kwara Elders Caucus Backs Olawuyi for 2027 Elections

The Kwara Elders Caucus has expressed strong support for Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi as the APC's standard bearer for the 2027 elections in the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Ok Ero Federal Constituency.

The caucus highlighted Olawuyi's experience, having won elections on the APC platform for three consecutive terms, as crucial for securing victory in the upcoming elections. They noted his current role as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Emergency Preparedness and his established grassroots connections.

The memorandum prepared by the caucus emphasizes the importance of presenting a candidate with genuine grassroots support to mobilize votes across all wards and polling units. The elders also urged party leaders to consider the historical political dynamics of the Ekiti bloc, which has significantly contributed to the party's successes in the past.

They stressed that excluding this bloc from political representation would not accurately reflect the constituency's historical political landscape.
