Epe Ogunmodede Club Calls for Peace Amid Olu-Epe Stool Dispute

The Epe Ogunmodede Club in Lagos State has urged factions involved in the Olu-Epe stool tussle to embrace peace to avoid disrupting the community's tranquility. The club called for stakeholders in the Obaship tussle over the vacant royal stool in Epe Kingdom to prioritize peace and avoid actions that could lead to a breakdown of law and order.

The royal stool became vacant following the death of Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale in May 2025. The President of the Epe Ogunmodede Club, Barrister Omodele Ibrahim, emphasized the historical significance of the royal stool and the need to preserve the cultural heritage of the community.

The club commended the Lagos State Government's intervention and urged community members to await the government's decision to maintain peace.
