MURIC Condemns Olubadan Committee for Alleged Interference with Muslim Worship

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) accused the Olubadan coronation committee of attempting to deprive Muslims of their right to worship during the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja. MURIC criticized the scheduling of the coronation program on a Friday, coinciding with Jummat prayer, which they deemed insensitive and unacceptable.

MURIC called on the committee to reconsider the decision to avoid alienating Muslim worshippers. The statement signed by Executive Director Professor Isiaq Akintola urged the committee to respect the religious sensitivity of Oyo State Muslims and the Nigerian Muslim community at large.
