Oluyole Club Awards Bursaries, Promotes Financial Discipline

The Oluyole Club recently held its annual lecture and award ceremony in Lagos, where it awarded bursaries to indigent students. The event, attended by prominent Ibadan indigenes and professionals, was presided over by Oluniyi Fatokun, the club's president.

Established on March 14, 1968, the Oluyole Club focuses on mutual support among its members and the welfare of the Ibadan community in Lagos. The 13th lecture series, titled "Riding the Economic Financial Storm in Nigeria: Building Resilience to Preserve Wealth and Create Opportunities," was delivered by Bayo Olugbemi, who discussed Nigeria's current economic climate, emphasizing the need for financial discipline and adaptability.

The club highlighted its commitment to education through its bursary program and postgraduate scholarships for students of Ibadan origin across Nigerian universities. Additionally, the club's welfare programs include a youth empowerment scheme providing low-interest funds for small-scale businesses.
