ADC Criticizes Tinubu's Spokesman Over Hunger Comments

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) condemned comments made by Bayo Onanuga, the spokesman for President Bola Tinubu, who stated he does not perceive hunger or hardship among Nigerians. ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi characterized Onanuga's remarks as insensitive and reflective of a broader disconnect between the Tinubu administration and the realities faced by millions of ordinary Nigerians.

Abdullahi emphasized that the government must acknowledge the consequences of its policies, which he described as historically failing. The ADC pointed out that 80% of Nigerians struggle to meet basic needs, and Onanuga's comments only reinforce the perception that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government is out of touch with the populace.

The ADC asserted that the administration has failed to create economic conditions that allow citizens to afford food and live with dignity, highlighting that 62% of Nigerians find life harder today than when the government took office three years ago.
