Fisayo Ajisafe Defects to APC from PDP in Ondo State

Fisayo Ajisafe, a notable grassroots leader and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ifedore Local Government Area, announced his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday. He cited the prolonged crisis within the PDP as a significant barrier to effectively serving his constituents.

Ajisafe expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's development agenda and noted the APC's growing strength in Ondo State. He emphasized his commitment to the APC's Renewed Hope agenda and pledged to leverage his political experience and grassroots network to mobilize support for the party.

Ajisafe also indicated that his departure would impact the PDP's standing in his federal constituency. He praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for ongoing infrastructure projects, specifically mentioning the Orita-Obele-Ijare-Ikota road project.

Ade Adetimehin, the immediate past APC chairman in Ondo State, welcomed Ajisafe, describing him as a respected mobilizer and assuring him of full integration into the APC structure.
