Gunmen Abduct Three Students in Nasarawa, One Rescued

On Tuesday night, three students from the Federal University Lafia were abducted by unidentified armed men in the Bushi area on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State. The Nasarawa State Police Command received a distress call at 9:20 PM from the university's Chief Security Officer regarding the abduction.

In response, the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro, ordered the immediate deployment of a tactical team to the scene. A coordinated search and rescue operation was launched, leading to the successful rescue of one of the abducted students.

The police have intensified efforts to ensure the safe rescue of the remaining two victims, while also working to arrest the perpetrators. The police urged the public to remain calm and vigilant, providing credible information to assist in the ongoing operation and advising residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
