DSS Rescues Kidnapped Nasarawa University Professor

Nasarawa State University has praised the Department of State Services (DSS) for successfully rescuing Professor Samuel Okunsebor, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, who was kidnapped by armed men on Wednesday night near the Mile Uku boundary community in Lafia, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area. The rescue operation took place at 3 PM on Friday, with a formal handover ceremony conducted in the presence of family members.

Prof. Kitso Ngbargu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university, expressed gratitude towards the DSS for their diligent efforts in ensuring the professor's safe return.

The DSS has also taken two suspects, a man and a lady, into custody in connection with the kidnapping. The agency is expected to meticulously prosecute the suspects in court, with confidence that they will face justice.
