Paul Onuachu Wins Süper Lig Goal of the Season Award

Paul Onuachu, a striker for Trabzonspor, won the Süper Lig Goal of the Season award for the 2025-26 campaign due to his spectacular bicycle kick against Fatih Karagümrük on September 27, 2025. This goal contributed to Trabzonspor's 4-2 victory during week seven of the season.

Onuachu's goal was selected over those from Fenerbahçe's Orkun Kökçü and Marco Asensio, with Ivo Grbić as the goalkeeper beaten by Onuachu's acrobatic effort. The league announced the award on Sunday.

Despite speculation regarding a potential summer departure, Onuachu aims to continue his impressive form next season. He had an outstanding season, scoring 22 league goals and providing two assists, finishing as joint top scorer alongside İstanbul Başakşehir's Eldor Shomurodov.

Onuachu had previously scored 15 league goals during a loan stint before completing a permanent move to Trabzonspor, with reports of a significant offer from a Saudi Arabian club for his services.
