Airstrikes Kill Over 50 Insurgents in Lake Chad Region

On May 31, Operation Hadin Kai conducted airstrikes in the Lake Chad Region, resulting in the death of over 50 insurgents, including senior commanders. The strikes were carried out in the Kirta Arina Ciki area, following credible intelligence regarding insurgent movements.

The operation targeted known terrorist strongholds and logistical hubs. Post-strike assessments indicated that Khalifa Umar, a member of the insurgent group's Shura Council, was among those killed.

Additionally, two field commanders, identified as Abdallah Abduljalil, were reportedly neutralized. The operation also destroyed several logistical facilities and supply depots, significantly disrupting the operational capacity of the insurgents in the Lake Chad basin.

Security sources described the situation in the theater as calm but fluid, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and expressing confidence in ongoing military efforts to restore stability in the region.
