APC Condemns Makinde's Remarks as Reckless and Dangerous

The All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a statement condemning Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde's remarks made during a summit in Ibadan, describing them as "reckless and dangerous." Felix Morka, the APC's National Publicity Secretary, stated that Makinde's comments could incite violence and threaten national security. The APC emphasized the need for security and intelligence agencies to take serious actions to protect lives and property, warning that unchecked remarks could fuel unrest and lawlessness.

The party reaffirmed that no individual, regardless of their position, is immune from accountability for actions that endanger lives and destabilize democratic governance. The APC also dismissed claims that the opposition parties were steering Nigeria towards a crisis, attributing such narratives to misleading arguments from the People’s Democratic Party, Labour Party, and African Democratic Congress, which they accused of failing to provide credible alternatives for governance.

The APC reiterated its commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and delivering on its governance agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
