NDC Chair Ekong Calls for Opposition Unity for 2027

Ekong, the chairperson of the NDC South-West, stated the necessity for opposition parties to unite in order to win the 2027 elections. He pointed out that the current economic situation is unfavorable for Nigerians, stressing that the focus should be on national issues rather than regional divisions.

Ekong asserted that the NDC is committed to serving the people and providing credible alternatives, specifically mentioning Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as trusted candidates. He called for a strong coalition between the NDC and ADC, suggesting that this partnership could leverage the results from the 2023 elections.

He also addressed challenges faced by the NDC in Lagos State, where candidates' posters have been removed, urging for a peaceful electoral process that allows citizens to express their preferences.
