APC Officials Urge INEC to Address BVAS Shortages

During a voter turnout at Ward 3, Unit 25, Ifelodun, Modakeke, Kola Olabisi, the Director of Media and Information for the All Progressives Congress (APC), lamented the lack of Bimodal Voters Accreditation Systems (BVASs) in the area, noting that only one BVAS was available despite a large number of eligible voters. He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to rectify this issue, highlighting that there was also inadequate ink for thumbprints.

Sesan Oyedele, the Osun State Commissioner for Transport, echoed Olabisi's concerns, stating that the only BVAS present was malfunctioning and that poor network connectivity was hindering the voting process. Both officials emphasized the impressive voter turnout and urged INEC to provide a backup BVAS machine to facilitate quicker accreditation, allowing more voters to cast their ballots within the designated time.

They also raised concerns regarding the ink used for the accreditation process.
