Voter Frustration Over BVAS Delays at Adeleke's Polling Unit

Alhaji Olaboye Mudashiru, a voter at the polling unit of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Ede, Osun State, voiced his frustration regarding delays in the accreditation process due to the slow performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). On the day of the governorship election, a large crowd of voters gathered, but many experienced significant delays during biometric accreditation.

Mudashiru, who traveled from Ivory Coast to vote, described the situation as disappointing and expressed concerns that it could undermine confidence in the electoral process. He criticized the BVAS performance, stating, "I doubt the credibility of INEC." Despite the issues with accreditation, he noted that there was no intimidation at the polling unit.

Mudashiru urged INEC to ensure proper training for personnel and thorough testing of electoral equipment before deployment, emphasizing the importance of reliability given the high voter turnout.
