Osun Deputy Governor Adewusi Critiques BVAS Malfunctions

During the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi raised significant concerns regarding the malfunctioning of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS). After casting his vote at Ilode Ward 1, Unit 001, located at Enuwa Square, Palace Frontage, Ile-Ife, in Ife East Local Government Area, Adewusi noted that while the election began smoothly with adequate security personnel, electoral officials, and voters present, the BVAS was causing substantial delays in the accreditation process.

He appealed for the BVAS machine to be replaced or for a backup to be provided to expedite the voting process. Adewusi urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to promptly resolve these technical challenges to prevent unnecessary delays and ensure that eligible voters could cast their ballots without difficulty.

The voting exercise reportedly saw a significant turnout, with residents arriving early to participate.
