Davido Warns of Election Manipulation in Osun
Afrobeats superstar Davido has expressed alarm over alleged plans by election manipulators to inflate figures during the Osun election. He made this statement on his verified X handle on Saturday, coinciding with the initial results from various polling units.
Davido, whose uncle Ademola Adeleke is the incumbent governor, claimed that the new strategy involves inflating the number of void votes to potentially declare the election inconclusive. He urged Osun residents to remain vigilant at their polling units, emphasizing the importance of this stage in the electoral process.
Davido's comments come as results indicate that Adeleke has won in several polling units, highlighting the tense atmosphere surrounding the election.
