APM Candidate Simon Adewale Backs Adeleke in Osun Race

Simon Adewale, the governorship candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the Osun State election, announced his withdrawal from the race on Friday, just a day before the polls. He declared his support for the incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, stating that his decision followed extensive consultations with party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders.

Adewale emphasized that his choice was made in the broader interest of the people of Osun State and not based on personal ambitions. He believes that Governor Adeleke deserves another term to continue the progress of his administration.

Adewale urged his supporters and members of the APM to back Adeleke in the upcoming election. His endorsement comes after another candidate, Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, also withdrew from the race to support the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

This last-minute shift in support is expected to bolster Adeleke's chances for re-election.
