APM Candidate Backs Adeleke in Osun Governorship Race

On Thursday, Hon Adebayo Simon Adewale, the governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), announced his withdrawal from the upcoming governorship election in Osun State, scheduled for Saturday. He directed all party members and supporters to vote for the incumbent governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, who is the candidate of the Accord Party.

Adewale stated that his decision was a "conscious choice to place Osun State’s interest above personal ambition," allowing Adeleke to consolidate the progress made during his administration. He emphasized that politics should serve the people and expressed that his withdrawal was not due to pressure but rather a commitment to the future of Osun State.

Adewale called on his supporters and the people of Osun State to join him in supporting Adeleke's re-election, highlighting the importance of advancing peace, stability, and development in the state.
