Presidency Critiques Davido's Partisan Role in Osun Election

The Presidency, through Temitope Ajayi, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, stated that Davido's social media posts during the Osun State governorship election were not motivated by a genuine concern for the residents but were instead partisan. Ajayi accused Davido of actively participating in the election process to support his uncle, the incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke, and holding a position within the campaign structure.

He emphasized that Davido's actions were not reflective of love for the people of Osun State, but rather a desire for his uncle to win. Ajayi also noted that such behavior would not be tolerated in countries like Rwanda or Ethiopia, where making unsubstantiated claims could lead to serious consequences.

He remarked on the importance of evidence in public discourse, warning that reckless statements could incite violence.
