APC, PDP Challenge Adeleke's Reelection in Tribunal

The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has officially displayed petitions filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contesting the reelection of Governor Ademola Adeleke. This action took place on Monday, following the August 15 governorship election.

Pefe Belemore, the secretary of the tribunal, confirmed that the petitions were posted on the tribunal's notice board, initiating the legal process related to the election results. The APC's petition, identified as EPT/OS/GOV/01/2026, was submitted by its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who named Adeleke, the Accord, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as respondents.

Similarly, the PDP's petition, marked EPT/OS/GOV/02/2026, was filed by Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola against Adeleke, INEC, and the Accord. The display of these petitions is expected to facilitate the service of legal processes to the involved parties and set the stage for subsequent tribunal proceedings.
