Oyetola Predicts APC Victory Over Adeleke in Osun Election

On August 13, 2026, Gboyega Oyetola, the former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning the governorship election scheduled for August 15. Speaking at an APC mega rally in Osogbo, Oyetola predicted that Governor Ademola Adeleke and his supporters would be disappointed after the polls.

He rallied support for APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, emphasizing the importance of voter turnout, especially among young voters. Oyetola highlighted the strong political structure of the APC in Osun, referencing the large crowd at the rally.

He urged voters to bring their Permanent Voter Cards and to vote for the APC symbol, the broom. Oyetola, who lost to Adeleke in the 2022 election, reiterated his belief that the APC would defeat Adeleke, who is now seeking re-election under the Accord Party.

He concluded by predicting that the APC would celebrate while Adeleke's camp would mourn the election results.
