Oyinlola's PDP Faction Backs APC's Oyebamiji in Osun

On Sunday, a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, led by former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, publicly endorsed Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the governorship election scheduled for the following Saturday. Oyinlola stated that the faction's decision to support Oyebamiji stemmed from dissatisfaction with the current administration under Governor Ademola Adeleke, particularly regarding the lack of inclusiveness in governance.

Despite this endorsement, Oyinlola emphasized that the group remains committed to the PDP and is not defecting from the party. He urged Oyebamiji to prioritize good governance and inclusivity in his administration.

Oyebamiji responded positively, expressing confidence that the support from various segments of the state would lead to victory for the APC in the election.
