Osun Government Promises Security for 2026 Election

On Friday, Hon. George Ibitayo Alabi, the Osun State Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, assured the electorate that adequate security arrangements would be established for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

Speaking at a general meeting of the Accord party in Ejigbo Local Government Area, he donated ₦1.1 million to support the party. Alabi, who is also the Accord leader in Ejigbo LGA, urged party members and supporters to vote for the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

He reassured the people of Ejigbo and other areas in Osun State that the election would be conducted peacefully and without violence. Alabi called on eligible voters to participate actively and return home safely after voting.

He emphasized the importance of unity and commitment among party members as the election approaches and appealed to all stakeholders to respect the electoral process and allow citizens to exercise their democratic rights freely.
