Osun APC Senator Fadahunsi Summoned Over Threat Video

The Osun State Police Command has summoned Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who represents the Osun East Senatorial District, regarding a viral video in which he allegedly threatened members of the Accord Party. This incident occurred during a protest at the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland's palace, where Fadahunsi addressed APC supporters about alleged killings of party members and residents.

In the video, he criticized the Accord Party's branding and suggested that APC supporters should kill members of the rival party if encountered before the election. The police, led by Commissioner Samuel Erale Etaifo, have requested Fadahunsi to appear at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, to clarify his remarks, which are viewed as potentially threatening.

Fadahunsi later denied any intent to incite violence, claiming his comments were metaphorical and aimed at encouraging electoral defeat rather than physical attacks. He cited ongoing violence in his community as the backdrop for his statements.
