APP Urges INEC to Secure Electoral Technology for Osun Poll

The Action Peoples Party (APP) has issued a warning regarding the potential manipulation of electoral technology in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15 in Osun State. In a statement released on Sunday, APP Chairman Odesola Olusey Titu called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to strengthen the security of its technological systems to prevent fraud and unauthorized interference.

The party emphasized the importance of rigorous verification of voter registration and the proper functioning of card readers to safeguard against unauthorized access to electoral data. APP expressed concerns over technical irregularities reported during the recent Ekiti State governorship election, which raised questions about the reliability and transparency of electoral practices.

The party insisted that every eligible voter should be allowed to participate freely and fairly in the election, urging INEC to uphold its responsibility to ensure a transparent and credible electoral process. APP reiterated that the people of Osun State would not tolerate any form of technical manipulation that compromises the democratic process.
