APC's Oyintiloye Dismisses Smear Campaigns Ahead of Election

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, asserted that smear campaigns by opposition parties will not prevent the APC from winning the governorship election scheduled for August 15. In a statement made during a press conference in Osogbo, Oyintiloye accused the opposition, particularly Bola Oyebamiji, of spreading falsehoods to mislead voters out of fear of defeat.

He noted that such actions reflect growing anxiety within the opposition ranks regarding the perceived strength of the APC ahead of the election. Oyintiloye expressed confidence that voters in Osun have become more discerning and will not be influenced by misinformation, highlighting their eagerness to return the APC to power after the mistakes made in 2022.

He also stressed the party's resolution of internal challenges and the strengthening of its campaign committee led by Oluwol Ok, urging residents to remain steadfast and not be swayed by desperate attempts to derail the state's progress.
